The popular Doña Manolita began her journey as a lottery at the age of twenty-five, when she set up her ticket office on Calle Ancha de San Bernardo, specifically in administration number five in Madrid, where she sold her tenths mainly to students from the nearby University . The clientele increased rapidly because very soon he began to distribute prizes and acquire great fame. In 1910 there were only fifty-three lottery offices in Madrid. In 1931 it moved to the Gran Vía, at that time Avenida de José Antonio, and it is here where it continues today, in the administration of lotteries number 67 in Madrid.
The entire family was dedicated to the ticket office, since her sister was also a lottery winner and her husband hung the “garrocha” of a bullfighter for the sale of the National Lottery. Doña Manolita passed away in 1951 at the age of over seventy. Since 2011 it has been located at Calle del Carmen, 22.
