Purpose
Development of activities to promote and revitalize commercial activity in the municipality of Madrid: campaigns, promotional activities, online dissemination, competitions, recreational and educational activities, information and training activities, granting of aid and subsidies, etc.
The data provided will be kept for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any potential liabilities that may arise from said purpose and the processing of the data. Personal data processed with the consent of the data subject will be deleted when that consent is withdrawn, in accordance with the regulations on archives and documents of the Community of Madrid.
The data will not be used to make automated decisions.
Legitimization of the processing
The processing of data is legitimized by:
- Public interest (Exercise of the powers attributed to the Madrid City Council by Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and Law 22/2006, of July 4, on the capital city and Special Regime of Madrid, and the execution of the powers attributed to the DG of Commerce, Hospitality and Consumer Affairs by Agreement of June 29, 2023 in matters of promotion of commercial activity).
- Consent of the affected person (Registration and participation in acts, congresses, events, conferences and competitions; capture of images, voice and recording of audiovisuals; subscription to periodic newsletters, registration in mobile applications).
Categories of interested parties
- Citizens, contact persons; owners or tenants; legal representatives; merchants, business owners
Origin and categories of data
- The data comes from the interested party. The categories of data processed are basic, contact, and location data.
Communications or data transfers
There are no communications or transfers of the processed data.
International transfers
There are no international transfers.
Rights
Everyone has the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not the Directorate General for Trade and Hospitality is processing personal data concerning them. Interested parties may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and data portability, as well as the right to object to automated individual decision-making, including profiling, in accordance with applicable legislation, by contacting the Directorate General for Trade and Hospitality.
The aforementioned rights can be exercised in person or online through the electronic headquarters of the Madrid City Council.
A complaint may also be filed directly with the Spanish Data Protection Agency in the following cases:
- When a request to exercise rights has been submitted and has not been addressed by the data controller or no notification or communication has been received within one month.
- When the matter has been addressed, but you are not satisfied with the resolution.
- When it is considered that the data controller has committed any infringement of the regulations on the protection of personal data in relation to any of the processing activities of the Madrid City Council.
Before using this option, you can submit a prior complaint to the Data Protection Officer, using the Standard General Application form.
The maximum period for the Data Protection Officer to respond to the complaint and communicate the decision adopted is two months from the date of receipt of the complaint.
Anyone has the right to withdraw the consent given, in which case it will be effective from the moment it is requested, without having retroactive effects.
Expected elimination deadlines
The data processed will be kept for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and to determine any potential liabilities that may arise from said purpose and the processing of the data, in accordance with the regulations on archives and documents of the Community of Madrid. Personal data processed with the consent of the data subject will be deleted when that consent is withdrawn.
The suppression, deletion or destruction of the data will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of Law 6/2023, of March 30, on Archives and Documents of the Community of Madrid
