The possibility of going to the center of Madrid and enjoying chocolate accompanied by delicious gluten-free artisan churros is already a reality thanks to Chocolatería 1902 and its commitment and effort to find the perfect gluten-free churro recipe. You can not lose this.
...Chocolatería churrería 1902, formerly called "Los Artesanos 1902", is a creation of Mr. Gabi (fourth generation of churreros) with the support of his wife Mrs. Carmen and their children.
The latter, which are currently the fifth generation, continue a family gastronomic tradition with more than 120 years of service. The secret of how to make by hand, and with great success, a product as typical of Madrid as churros with chocolate, has been transmitted seamlessly from father to son over time.
In 1902, D. Florencio, D. Gabi's great-grandfather, opened the doors of a simple churrería on Ave María street, where he taught the old trade of churrero to D. Felix and his grandson D. Galo, D.Gabi's father. Once the technique was learned and perfected, he began his business career selling churros and batons through the streets of Madrid with a stove he made himself, using to heat the oil... wood and coal!
Step by step, with the help of his wife, Mrs. Ana and their children, the family conquered a place in the world of Madrid hospitality. Subsequently, Mr. Gabi also managed to get his children and his wife, Mrs. Carmen, to love and share a life project that, to this day, keeps alive that long family tradition for which they continue to fight, so that it is not lost. , preserving the magic that comes with the artisanal production of the tastiest churros and porras with chocolate in the capital.
In 2023, Juan and Héctor start up the 1902 chocolate factory, from which they will grind, package and distribute what will soon be known as "Madrid chocolate", fulfilling one of their grandfather's dreams; a project with which your chocolate will conquer the most demanding palates from all corners of the world.
