...Although the factory undergoes different changes of owners and location, the beer office was always Santa Bárbara, known for its well-drained beer and for its tapas and portions, especially shrimp. It is cited by Benito Pérez Galdós in one of his National Episodes, in the First Republic. Since the 1950s, it has become a regular gathering place for students, politicians and intellectuals.
