2025/02/27
On March 5, the Chamberí Market will host the "Acoge un plato" culinary workshop, an event in which attendees will be able to learn about Colombian culture through its traditional cuisine. During the session, participants will learn how to prepare some of the country's most representative recipes, exploring their history and the ingredients that make them unique.
The workshop, which will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. , will offer a practical experience where participants will be able to prepare and taste the following dishes:
- Colombian Beef and Chicken Empanadas : A signature version of this popular dish, with a potato mixture inside and a crunchy texture.
- Plátanos aborrajados : ripe plantain stuffed with cheese and battered, an emblematic recipe of Colombian gastronomy.
- Egg arepas : a typical preparation from the Caribbean region, with a dough filled with egg that requires skill in its preparation.
- Shrimp Ceviche : A refreshing dish with an intense citrus flavor, made with shrimp, lemon and cilantro.
- Aguapanela and lulo juice : two traditional Colombian drinks, known for their authentic flavor and simplicity in preparation.
The event will feature the collaboration of Insurgente , a stall at the Chamberí Market that has established itself as one of the gastronomic references in the capital.
"Acoge un plato" is presented as an opportunity to discover the culinary richness of Colombia and learn cooking techniques in a friendly and participatory environment. Places are limited, so it is recommended to register in advance.
