Holy Week in Madrid is also a time to savor. The Sweet Passions Route returns, a gastronomic experience that invites you to explore the city through its most traditional sweets… and also its most innovative versions.
This year, the route grows and consolidates with the participation of more than 180 establishments spread throughout the city, including artisan bakeries, restaurants and municipal markets.
Among them, the following stand out:
- More than 100 artisan pastry shops belonging to the Association of Artisan Entrepreneurs in the Pastry Sector of Madrid (ASEMPAS)
- More than 50 establishments belonging to the Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of Madrid (ACYRE)
- And more than 30 stalls located in municipal markets
From classic torrijas, in all their versions: traditional, caramelized or reinterpreted, to more contemporary proposals, the route highlights the artisanal work and creativity of Madrid professionals.
Beyond the gastronomic pleasure, this initiative also seeks to support local businesses and highlight the value of artisan products , reinforcing the link between tradition, culture and economy in the city.
Promoted by the Madrid City Council together with industry associations, the route is part of a strategy to boost the activity of pastry shops, restaurants and markets, focusing on local consumption and product quality.
