The long-awaited 37th edition of the Gourmets Show is about to open its doors at IFEMA MADRID from April 22 to 25, and with it, once again, comes the opportunity to enjoy the best in high-end food and drinks. This event, recognized as the most important annual showcase in the sector, will once again have the presence of the Madrid markets and promises to delight visitors with a unique culinary experience.
Among this year's notable participants are the Madrid Markets, which after their successful participation in the 2023 edition, return to the Gourmets Hall for the second consecutive year with the intention of conquering the most demanding palates with the authentic essence of the capital. Spanish.
Eight emblematic markets of Madrid will pass through the Madrid markets stand, organized by the Federation of Grouped Commerce and Markets of Madrid (COCAM), an entity subsidized by the Madrid City Council: Barceló, Chamberí, Chamartín, La Paz, Maravillas, Prosperidad, Las Ventas and Villa de Vallecas, united to offer an exquisite selection of products that range from the most succulent meats to the most delicate cakes, through an infinite variety of fresh and gourmet products that characterize the city's culinary offering.
To further enrich the visitors' experience, renowned chef Carlos Sierra will be present to perform live culinary demonstrations, using exclusively fresh and varied products from participating markets. A unique opportunity to taste the chef's creations and discover the versatility and quality of local ingredients.
Each day of the event will be packed with activities that promise to satisfy all tastes. From tastings of stewed cheeks to wine and liquor pairings to complement each dish, including an impressive variety of dishes and products that will delight attendees.
During the four days of the event (April 22-25 ), visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the gastronomic richness of the Madrid Markets, with the guarantee of quality and tradition that characterizes them.
Among the featured activities, on Monday the 22nd, tastings and tastings of stewed cheeks, pickles, vermouth, artisan bread, oil, cheesecake and a selection of craft beers will be offered.
On Tuesday the 23rd , attendees will be able to enjoy a variety of tea, cheeses, oysters, champagne, and delicious dishes such as chicken in pepitoria.
On Wednesday the 24th, the menu will include a tasting of pularda, sausages, pickled tuna and empanadas.
To conclude, on Thursday the 25th, tastings of fruit, dairy products, tomatoes, cocktails and meat in brioche will be offered.
Every day there will be a selection of wines and spirits to pair each dish.
