The event will be on November 30 and December 1 and 2 at the central Barceló Market.

Those attending the Barceló Market will be able to enjoy free tastings of different mussel recipes, gifts for purchases at the fishmongers and 5 showcookings directed by chef Miguel Mosteiro.

In each showcooking, 2 different recipes will be presented, which attendees will have the opportunity to taste. As usual, participation in these activities will be completely free, with the only requirement of registering in advance at the OPMEGA information booth.
The cooking samples will be held at the stand installed in the Barceló Garden, a multipurpose space located on the 0th floor of the market. On Thursday, November 30 and Friday, December 1, appointments will be at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, December 2, there will only be showcooking in the morning, also at 12:00 p.m.
Those who miss out on the cooking samples will also be able to taste the best Galician mussels. Free mussel tastings will be served throughout the day at the OPMEGA information stand.
The market's fishmongers will also join the campaign and, during these 3 days, purchases of Galician mussels from OPMEGA will have a prize. For every purchase of 1 kilo of mussels, recipe books, backpacks, kitchen tongs and other promotional gifts will be given away. In addition, the conference will serve to present to consumers the new trays of fresh mussels developed by OPMEGA. A controlled atmosphere packaging system that allows extending the useful life of fresh mussels. The mussel is presented clean and ready for consumption, in a microwave-safe container.
In addition to the gastronomic activities, the Christmas edition of the OPMEGA conference will be a new opportunity to visit the exhibition “Mujeres Bateeiras. “The mussel through the hands of women.” This is a photographic exhibition that, with images ranging from the 1950s to the present, vindicates the historical role of women in the traditional mussel farming process.
