It was the year 1936 and there was an enthusiastic boy named Ángel Robleño who responded to the call of a butcher; Mr. Parrondo in Madrid to be an apprentice. He took his bicycle and from his town, traveled the 56 km that separated him from his destination to Madrid.

After several years with Mr. Parrondo, who at that time was the president of the Madrid butchers, he decided to establish himself and with the help of his brother Martin, he founded "Alimentación Robleño" in the Diego de León Market.
At that beginning they only dedicated themselves to meat, but little by little and with a lot of effort they managed to buy the neighboring stalls one by one, in order to reach all their customers. Apart from its excellent quality meat, all the products that could accompany it.
They created a delicatessen, where they have all kinds of hams, cheeses, cold cuts, salmon, etc. A greengrocer where they find fresh fruits and vegetables in any season of the year. Of course a butcher shop, where you yourself can choose the piece you want, since the meat is exposed as a showcase.
The last project of “Alimentación Robleño” came two years ago opening a tavern called Mad by Robleño, where you can eat or tapas to your liking and where you can also order takeaway food. It also has a shop selling gourmet products such as olive oil, preserves, a specialized wine bar and all kinds of exquisite treats selected to surprise our customers.
It has been a work of many years with great sacrifices and great satisfaction that we believe that our clients appreciate every day.

From Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
