Ciriaco House
Ciriaco House
SINCE 1887 Cocido en dos vuelcos In 1917 Ciriaco Muñoz gave his name to an old liquor store, located at Calle Mayor, number 84, and turned it into a tavern-restaurant. In the tavern they serve a dish with more than 100 years of tradition: the chicken pepitoria
...On its walls you can see bullfighting memorabilia, as well as paintings, posters and photographs that recall its most famous clients such as Ortega y Gasset, Caro Baroja, Alfonso XIII and the current Royal Family. In the tavern, the literary tradition of the past was continued, since the Club de Amigos of the writer Julio Camba met monthly within its walls. Only on Tuesdays do they prepare the full stew, which they serve in two turns. Its cellars also stand out, with a collection of wines dating from 1917 and cognacs from 1892. After a brief hiatus in its activity, caused by its closure in 2018, the restaurant reopened its stalls in 2019, preserving in its images and memories of its long history dedicated to restoration.
Kitchen open from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
