THE BARCELÓ MARKET CELEBRATES ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY WITH A WEEK OF GASTONOMIC FESTIVITIES

Barceló Market , one of Madrid’s most iconic municipal markets, is preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary with an exciting week of activities and gastronomic experiences from 21 to 26 October . During these six days, both regular customers and new visitors will be able to enjoy a unique offer that highlights the rich variety of local products.

From 21 to 23 October , the market will offer a gift delivery to customers, including delicious cakes and dried fruit, under the supervision of a dedicated team to ensure that every detail is perfectly organised. In addition, on 21 and 25 October, customers who make purchases worth 50 euros will have the chance to participate in an exciting prize wheel, located on the first floor of the market.

On October 24 and 25, at 6:30 p.m., there will be free live cooking demonstrations (showcooking). Attendees will be able to learn how to prepare dishes using fresh ingredients from the Barceló Market itself. On the 24th , a delicious menu of creamy rice with mushrooms and Iberian pork will be taught, followed by the emblematic "Mercado Barceló" cheesecake. On the 25th , the proposal will include roasted pumpkin with blue cheese, caramelized onion and seeds, and pears in wine with pistachio and vanilla chantilly.

The celebration will culminate on October 26 with a tapas route that will take place from 12:00 to 14:00 . Visitors will be able to enjoy small tastings in different areas of the market, including tapas such as the Gilda "Mercado Barceló", fig and goat cheese focaccia, roasted leek with pomegranate vinaigrette, and regañá with sausage tartar and egg yolk sauce.
