The establishment preserves the old espadrille sewing chairs that are now available to the public so that they can comfortably try on the footwear. The Casa Crespo factory predates the store. Although mainly dedicated to esparto grass, all kinds of construction materials and black and white hemp and esparto espadrilles for work were manufactured and sold there.
At the end of the sixties, Martín Garbayo and his wife Josefina introduced a great variety of colors and models of espadrilles, with such success that Queen Doña Sofía herself is among their clients. Today Maxi, fourth family generation, continues with the business.
