The Madrid City Council has presented a strategy to further strengthen the city's hospitality and retail sectors, in line with the Madrid Hospitality Strategic Plan 2026-2029. The roadmap, with a budget of over 95 million euros, aims to consolidate a key sector for the capital, which comprises 27,538 establishments and supports more than 155,200 jobs.

The plan is based on three main pillars: training, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation. Among the measures included are direct grants of up to €10,000 for the transfer of viable businesses, advisory services through Madrid Emprende, and new tools to analyze the viability of future projects in neighborhoods.

Furthermore, the City Council has strengthened its support for Madrid's hospitality sector by increasing the property tax (IBI) discount from 50% to 95% for the city's 170 century-old establishments. This is complemented by the promotion of platforms like "Todo está en Madrid" (Everything is in Madrid), which continues to gain traction as a showcase for local businesses and restaurants.
