...It was at this moment of boom in the sector that Manuel Felipe Berejano installed his barbershop on February 13, 1907 in a building built in 1856, in the central Chueca neighborhood. Until it was replaced by the electrical system, the lighting in the store was carried out with carbide or acetylene gas, which was placed in front of mirrors so that the reflection was greater. Three hairdressers took care of the hairdressing salon, the Ortega brothers, who were brothers-in-law of Jesús, and an officer, Agustín Urbano, who eventually took over the hairdressing salon where his two sons, Miguel Ángel and José Luis, still continue to work.
