The National Museum of Decorative Arts is dedicated to the daily life of the past and present. Founded in 1912 as the National Museum of Industrial Arts, along the lines of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Musée des Arts Decoratives in Paris
...It currently has a vast collection of decorative arts and design, of which about 20% is exhibited, made up of furniture , contemporary design , ceramics , oriental arts, glass and crystal , textile arts and clothing, watches, jewelry and personal adornments, silverware and a long etcetera.
The temporary exhibitions are preferably dedicated to contemporary design, and to the designers and artists, established or young, who create our environment. "Design our environment" is our motto. We want to interpret material culture and ideas, as well as the values and attitudes associated with it, past and present, in order to disseminate and actively contribute to creating a quality living environment, based on social responsibility.
Tuesday to Saturday: from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. / Afternoons: Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. / Sundays and holidays: from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Holidays: 03/15, 10/12, 11/1 , 9/11, 6/12 and 8/12)
