Created in 2006 by María Cristina Masaveu Peterson, it was born with the vocation to promote, within the tradition of patronage and sponsorship of the Masaveu family, culture, training and scientific research at a national and international level, always with special attention to Asturias

The Foundation carries out intense cultural activity in different areas, as well as extensive patronage work, visible through its exhibitions, editorial, training and research initiatives of its own art collection and the management of the Masaveu Collection.
