SINCE 1897
haberdashery haute couture
The origin of the name of this haberdashery, specializing in haute couture buttons and accessories, can be found in Parisian fashion, which at this time was an indicator of quality and glamor and from which its founder, Federico García, nurtured his shop windows and cupboards. Made with their own designs, their buttons shine with their own light together with leading brands such as Balenciaga or Pertegaz. The municipal license dates back to July 30, 1896 for the shops on Calle del Barquillo and La Montera.
In 1945, a young Rafael García Álvarez, grandson of the founder, began as an apprentice and became a button expert, making his own designs and opening, in 1969, the branch that continues today with his daughters, María Paz and Belén García.
