Caribbean
Talking about Caribbean means talking about JA Muñoz or Doc Caribbean, a young sports enthusiast who loved to slide on skates. His student adventures took him to the other side of the pond, specifically to Berckley, California
...That's where he really saw the juice that could be extracted from his first Sancheski . He changed his old wheels for some colorful urethane wheels and this earned him to enjoy his passion even more.
After the wheels, Doc got hold of more than one skateboard and spent what little he had to get quality material with which he traveled to Spain. Skate after skate, through El Retiro , Moyano, Recoletos, Nuevo Ministerios... people stopped him to ask him about what he was carrying under his feet. It didn't take long for him to realize that he wanted to dedicate himself to importing skateboards / skates and other American material .
He founded Caribbean in 1975 , being the first skate shop in Spain and a pioneer in sliding sports such as surfing, snow, windsurfing, wakeboarding... Since that year, Madrid has known the passion for sliding sports and the friendship with the Sancheski family led them to organize many things and embark on many projects together. Let's say that the history of skateboarding in our country could not be understood without the participation and entry into play of Sancheski and Caribbean.
