Old Talavera House
Old Talavera House
SINCE 1904 A recycled façade with fine materials This is a family-owned store whose origins are a cabinetmaker's shop where Sevillian-style furniture was sold. Other products are gradually added to these, such as ceramics, artistic wrought iron and esparto grass
...The father of the current owner, Marcelino Arjona, ended up opting for the sale of handmade ceramics. Vestiges of the old products remain in the store: tables, shelves and chairs, esparto wheels where ceramic jugs were supported, or artistic wrought iron to hold plates, flowerpots and lanterns. They are artisans specialized in ceramics from many areas of Spain, mainly from Talavera, Toledo, Alcora, Seville, Puente del Arzobispo, Manises, Granada, Onda and Ribesalbes. The store preserves a very curious façade, as it is made with tiles from the demolition of palaces and churches.
