For three Fridays— August 8, 22, and 29, 2025 — the garden of the Lope de Vega House Museum will become a privileged setting for enjoying early music and classical theater outdoors, thanks to the "Lope a la fresca" (Lope in the Fresh Air) series, a free initiative open to the public over 14 years of age. With a distinctly evocative tone, the program pays homage to the popular custom of " sitting in the fresh air ," a deeply rooted practice in Spanish villages, where neighbors, friends, and family gather at sunset to converse and share experiences. This tradition, which has even been proposed as Intangible Heritage of Humanity , serves as inspiration for a series that seeks to transform Lope's garden into a meeting and reflection point , as if time stood still amidst verses, melodies, and memories.
