Petit Palace Posada del Peine
Petit Palace Posada del Peine
SINCE 1610 The inn at the stagecoach stop at the Court La Posada del Peine is probably one of the oldest hotels in Spain and the oldest in Madrid. The location of the room to rent depended on the purchasing power of the tenants
...It was founded at the beginning of the 17th century with the intention of dedicating itself to providing accommodation to guests and foreigners who came to the Court, taking advantage of the location, since the main stop for the proceedings was there. In the 19th century, it was expanded with the adjoining house that overlooked Calle de Postas, hence the current address and its large size. Thus, the rooms facing the street were more expensive, but more spacious, comfortable and ventilated than those inside. After numerous reforms, it was taken over by the High Tech chain, which reopened at the end of the summer of 2005 under the name of Hotel Petit Palace Posada del Peine.
