...What is certain is that Eladio Gurumeta held its inauguration on Calle Cuchilleros, 15 on January 2, 1900. They worked with equals for which a family paid 30 pesetas a year so that their men cut their hair every fifteen days and were also entitled to a weekly shave. Rafael López and Alfonso Sánchez, current owners and former employees, still have the façade painted in red and blue stripes, in the style of the barbershops of yesteryear, and the "American" style metal and mesh chairs, very typical of the 1920s in Spain.
