In 2002, with the intention of expanding his horizons and in response to his constant search for inspiration, Moerel moved to Madrid, Spain, where he created his own creative studio. Marre Moerel Design Studio was born as a dual space that includes a creative studio and a store open to the public. From here, Moerel works in parallel with his two professional aspects, launching his personal projects with passion. Mainly, his time is dedicated to developing and promoting his own work with the lines of furniture, lighting, tableware and accessories. In his store, at street level in the Malasaña neighborhood, production collections regularly coexist with unique pieces and limited editions. Moerel's aspiration has always been to create timeless contemporary objects that are capable of fusing current sentiment with historical references without losing the sense of humor and finesse inherent in each of them. His own line of products focuses on handmade ceramics, with which he intends to express the inherent beauty of this simple material with great sensory capacity, which is capable of changing the emotional charge of the objects that are made with it.
