...In 1907, Manuel Calero Gómez took over the bookbinding workshop belonging to the artisan Juan Mole, at number 5 Doña Bárbara street in Braganza since 1899. Since then, this traditional workshop became a family business, first in the hands of the Calero, after the López Gómez and then the López Valencia. A large part of his activity was carried out in his early workshop, and later at number 9 on the same street. Today the business has passed into the hands of Ignacio Mateos, Mayte Gómez and Chon González (both with more than twenty years of experience in the company), they expand the offer with the restoration of books and documents, with the restorers Mónica Sánchez and Mar Ortega, who want to continue this noble craft of artisan bookbinding and restoration and who have moved the establishment to the adjoining premises, number 11, where surrounded by the smell of history, a universe of presses, guillotines, types, leather, paper unfolds. old and the exclusivity of what is made 100% by hand, increasingly difficult to find.
