Reus bookstore SINCE 1852 The bookstore that became publicly traded. The Reus editorial bookstore was founded in 1852 on Calle Peligros by the Alicante jurist José Reus, specializing mainly in Law publications, although books on art, history, etc. Reus was doing so well that it was listed on the Madrid Stock Exchange at the beginning of the last century. After the Civil War, the bookstore disappeared and only the publishing house remained, with a new address that has ushered in a third era.
