From June 19 to 22, 20 Madrid venues will offer a diverse program to celebrate European Music Day.

Madrid is gearing up to celebrate European Music Day 2025 in style with an extensive series of live concerts taking place from Thursday, June 19th to Sunday, June 22nd . Organized by Madrid en Vivo, twenty iconic venues in the capital will host more than twenty performances covering a wide range of musical genres: rock, pop, jazz, flamenco, folk, blues, metal, and funk.

The event, which commemorates June 21st each year as the official day of cultural exchange through music, offers a unique opportunity to enjoy emerging and established talent from the national and international scene in an intimate and intimate setting: Madrid's concert halls.

A poster for all tastes

The series kicks off on Thursday, June 19 , with signature pop from Txetxu Altube at El Búho Real and the promising voices of Marina Abad and María Nortes at Fulanita de Tal . The evening will also feature flamenco with José Escarpín's dancing at Cardamomo and Batio's Torero show at Essential Flamenco . The day is rounded out with folklore from Jukumari at El Intruso and alternative rock from Post Plastic World and Marcus Pixel at Moe .

The celebration continues on Friday the 20th with even more flamenco, led by renowned dancer Claudia Cruz at Tablao 1911. For metal lovers, the Silikona venue will be the epicenter with four bands on the bill: Term0gaun, Hydra, Cryfemal, and Muert . Jazz will also have a prominent place with Australian Jessie Gordon at Big Mama Ballroom , the legendary CMQ Big Band at Café Berlín , and a luxury international duo: Will Smith and Carlos Childe at Clamores.

Saturday the 21st: the big day

Coinciding with European Music Day, Saturday, June 21st will be all about pop and its many forms. Emerging artists such as Simple C, Amian, Antonias, Nayla Salzmann, Dave, Kaminico, and Blanca García will perform at venues like Café La Palma, Maravillas, Rincón del Arte Nuevo, and Vesta . Funk will be in full force with Pink Flamingos & The Cherry Lovers at Tempo Audiophile Club.

Sunday with a flourish

The series culminates on Sunday the 22nd with high-profile acts. The band CMS (Colina, Miralta, and Sambeat) will offer a true jazz masterclass at Café Central , while Las Negras del 45, featuring Pahola Crowley, Alexandra Montón, and Mónica Matabuena, will shine with their vocal harmonies at El Despertar . The young band All3 will bring a rock touch at Hangar 48, and Aitor Castells will present his new album, Days Later (2025), at Peor Para El Sol.
