MUNICIPAL MARKETS CELEBRATE HISPANICITY WITH A GASTRONOMIC ROUTE OF LATIN AMERICAN FLAVORS

From October 8 to 11 , the Municipal Markets of Madrid will join in the celebrations of the Hispanic Day with a gastronomic route that will allow visitors to enjoy the richness and variety of Latin American cuisine. Within the framework of the event promoted by the Community of Madrid , and with the collaboration of the Madrid City Council , the markets will offer free tastings and a tour of 87 stalls that will present specialties from Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, El Salvador, Venezuela and Colombia.

Under the municipal initiative "Everything is in Madrid" , aimed at reactivating and making small businesses visible, the Saborea Latinoamérica route will be held, where attendees will be able to enjoy the most authentic flavors of the continent.

Free tasting calendar

The gastronomic route will begin today at the Prosperidad Market , where visitors will be able to sample Mexican cuisine from the ' Me vale madre ' stand. The tastings will continue throughout the week at other emblematic markets in the city:

• Wednesday, October 9 : Ecuadorian cuisine at the Los Mostenses Market , with the stalls ' Asadero Miguel ' and ' Ángel El Socio '.
• Thursday, October 10 : Peruvian food at the La Paz Market , with the stand ' Triperito. Come y Chifa. Peruvian Street Food '.
• Friday, October 11 :
  • Salvadoran cuisine at the Barceló Market with ' Irra's Express '.
  • Venezuelan recipes at the Las Ventas Market , with ' El Isleño '.
  • Tasting of Colombian dishes at the Numancia Market , with ' La buena vida ' (from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.).

All tastings, except the last one, will take place from 12:00 to 13:00. This event is an excellent opportunity to discover the delights of Latin American gastronomy and enjoy the cultural richness that unites Spain with the countries of Latin America.
