The Spanish brand commemorates eight decades of history with a series of cultural, artistic, and social events that will take place throughout the fall.

Cortefiel, one of the most iconic brands in the Spanish fashion scene, celebrates its 80th anniversary with a special program that combines tribute, innovation, and gratitude. Throughout the fall, the Tendam Group brand will carry out various initiatives that reflect its legacy and its projection into the future of fashion.

A "thank you" that starts it all

The celebration began in September with the publication of a commemorative manifesto and a thank-you campaign aimed at both its customers and employees. In store windows, the word "Thank You" has become the symbol of this anniversary, a gesture that pays tribute to all those who have supported the brand since 1945.

The message also extends to the headquarters and communications with members of Club Cortefiel , the first loyalty club in the fashion sector in Spain, founded in 1979. Today it has more than 8 million active members worldwide.

Cultural actions and team recognition

During the month of September, more than 150 stores in Spain and Portugal hosted special window displays with personalized messages that connect with the identity of each region. In addition, Cortefiel launched the "Thank You Team" campaign, highlighting 80 employees from different generations and departments. Through portraits and testimonials, the brand recognizes the work of the more than 2,300 people who are part of its family.

Urban exhibition in Madrid and a fashion film with the Little Spain seal

In October, the celebration moves to the heart of Madrid. The firm will organize an urban cultural exhibition on Serrano Street, showcasing eight historic advertising designs reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective.

This exhibition, held in collaboration with Madrid City Council, will be open from October 8 to 23 and will explore the brand's most significant milestones: from the democratization of shirtmaking in the 1940s to its internationalization in the 1960s and the incorporation of names like Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Cardin in the 1990s.

That same month, Cortefiel will premiere the fashion film "Todo por vestir" (Everything to Wear) , produced by Little Spain , the production company founded by Santos Bacana, Antón Álvarez (C. Tangana), María Rubio, and Cristina Trenas. The short film, which will be officially presented in the coming days, reflects the brand's aesthetic and social evolution over its eight decades.

A wardrobe for life

In November, the brand will dedicate a special promotion to its loyalty club members. Among them, it will raffle off "A Wardrobe for Life," a symbolic recognition of the loyalty of its most loyal customers.

The celebration calendar will conclude in February 2026 with a charitable collaboration with the Menudos Corazones Foundation, reaffirming Cortefiel's social commitment.

A legacy that looks forward

In these 80 years, Cortefiel has consolidated a network of more than 250 points of sale in 40 countries , with a presence on five continents. The brand continues its expansion with new openings in Shaws department stores in Ireland and the upcoming opening of a store in Mexico in 2026.

In addition, the brand is making progress in renovating its stores in key cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Murcia, and Cádiz , adapting to the new omnichannel model and applying artificial intelligence to offer a more personalized shopping experience.

"We want to celebrate by honoring the past, but without ceasing to look to the future. Because everything we've done has been just the beginning," reads the manifesto with which Cortefiel opens a new chapter in its history.
