SUMMER CINEMA IN CIUDAD LINEAL 2025

A night under the stars, the murmur of an expectant audience, and the magic of cinema. This is how the Ciudad Lineal Open-Air Film Festival presents itself once again, celebrating its 29th edition in the heart of Calero Park . While the renovation of the Auditorium continues, the park's basketball court is consolidating itself as the ideal setting for enjoying the seventh art in summer.
With a 40-square-meter screen, high-quality sound and lighting, and a technical and human team committed to the audience experience, the festival offers a comfortable, accessible, and centrally located space. A neighborhood meeting point where cinema becomes a pretext for sharing, debate, and excitement during the weekends of July and August .
This year, the program maintains its core: a balanced combination of relevant films from the last year and family titles that have made their mark on the commercial scene. From daring offerings that have won awards at international festivals to animated films that will delight the little ones.
The opening film was directed by Emilia Pérez , a deeply human drama about identity and transformation, directed by Jacques Audiard. It was followed by titles such as The Substance , Flow , Zone of Interest , and The Glints , along with lighter options like Gru 4 and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The thematic and formal diversity reflects the inclusive spirit of the festival, which also includes series dedicated to LGBTI cinema and films with a social message, especially those aimed at promoting gender equality.
Sessions will always take place at 10:00 PM , with free admission until capacity is reached . The space, located on the basketball court at Parque Calero (on Virgen de Nuria Street, across from number 5), is perfectly adapted to ensure the comfort and safety of all attendees.
