The history of this market dates back to 1935 with the presentation of the model and beginning said year the works of the same. However, at the beginning of the Spanish civil war in 1936, it caused the paralysis of the project, so that, during the war, the building of which only the basements and pillars had been built, served as a refuge for the residents to protect themselves from attackers. After the war, work on the market continued until its inauguration in 1940. Since 2006, important reforms have been carried out both in its physical structure and facilities, achieving a more modern and safe appearance, as well as in the commercial aspect, incorporating a medium commercial area (Mercadona) within the first floor of the market itself. It currently has 70 stalls and the Mercadona supermarket. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Summer hours: From 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
