In its beginnings it was located at the beginning of Atocha street, next to Plaza Mayor, in a store with the cosmopolitan name of "Paris, Madrid" in which it developed the activity that was then known as a bazaar of ready-made clothes. In 1919 they extended to Gerona street, where businesses dedicated to the sale of fabrics and clothing were grouped at the time. Ramiro Matarranz established the company Matarranz y Compañía in 1944, including his sons Julio and Ramiro Matarranz Cedillo in the family business. In the 1980s, the management of the company passed into the hands of the founder's grandson, Miguel Ángel Matarranz García, who consolidated and spread the fame of the business beyond the borders of our country and, today, is the fourth generation of the family that continues this long tradition, in the person of Miguel Matarranz Riesgo. Matarranz presents a wide range of bedding, table, bathroom and kitchen linen of the highest quality, based on the best raw materials and the careful and personalized service that can be expected from a traditional business. For something its motto says: "The client is the treasure of our business". Since 2020 the store has moved to Calle Lagasca, in addition to selling online through its website.
