EL SÓTANO was born with the vocation of being a benchmark in the Madrid underground scene. Going downstairs you come across live music, performing arts, radio on air and all kinds of countercultural manifestations. Here everything is possible.
...As in those dimly lit basements where the essentials were kept, in EL SÓTANO the best of indie, pop, alternative rock, shoegazing, garage, punk and electronics collide. The most persecuted bands on the current scene hide in THE BASEMENT. Al tiempo is the place where you can take refuge while the best DJs liven up the night until the wee hours of the morning.
