This haberdashery was founded on October 13, 1908 by Hernando Cortés Moro, a native of Villalón de Campos (Valladolid). Its billboard carried the slogan “Herretería la unrivaled Noah's Ark”

He started in the Madrid business as an apprentice and over the years managed to settle in his own business on Toledo street. Later it moved to Corredera Baja to finally reach its current location, where the third and fourth generations of the Cortés family work, continuing a family business where attention and the criteria of "ask us for what you need, if We don't have it, we look for it or tell you where you can find it.”
The store offered multiple genres since it was a shoe store, espadrille store, hardware store, drugstore and haberdashery; He sold all kinds of clothing, etc. The building was redone in 1967. In the premises it was sold "from a pin to an elephant".
