TONI ACOSTA STARS IN THE NEW COMEDY “A MOTHER OF A MOVIE” AT THE BELLAS ARTES THEATRE

The Bellas Artes Theatre premieres “ A Mother of a Movie ”, which addresses the dilemmas between duty and curiosity. A comedy written and directed by Juan Carlos Rubio starring the renowned actress Toni Acosta.

The play is a theatrical monologue that follows the story of Eva María , a mother from Madrid who receives an urgent message from her son Alejandro, who studies at a prestigious university in the United States.

Alejandro needs his mother to open a locked drawer in his room to retrieve an important document for an academic paperwork. However, she warns him not to snoop through his things.

Eva María is faced with the irresistible temptation to explore the contents of the drawer. In the process, she comes across objects that evoke memories of her life and her relationship with her son, leading her to reflect on her journey as a mother .

Toni Acosta plays a mother who combines wit, sensitivity and a touch of rebellion. The play promises to make the audience laugh and move , showing how the small details of everyday life can become memorable stories.

This new project will be on stage until February 9 , with performances from Wednesday to Sunday. Tickets are already available at the theater's box office and on its official website.
