The program "Todo Está en Madrid" (Everything is in Madrid) , designed to showcase and promote the city's retail and hospitality offerings and spearheaded by the Department of Economy, Innovation, and Finance, unveiled its latest innovations at Fitur, the international tourism trade fair. These updates adapt the initiative to new online trends and enhance its efficiency. With this new approach, "Todo Está en Madrid" expands its functionality, transforming it from a showcase for participating businesses into a content platform.

Todo Está en Madrid launched its website and app in 2021, promoting the digitalization of Madrid's retail and hospitality businesses, which can register for free on the platform. The initiative also boosts local commerce and revitalizes the neighborhood economy. Another achievement is its contribution to consolidating Madrid as a shopping and gastronomic destination by supporting fashion, crafts, and hospitality.

The program is an essential part of the municipal policies, which earned the City Council the 2023 National Domestic Trade Award granted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business, for its support of local commerce and strengthening its role as a guarantor of the city's social and economic cohesion, as well as actively contributing to job creation.

Thematic and monographic tours

Among the main innovations incorporated by the platform are the dissemination of various themed routes and tours through the city of Madrid and the publication of news about activities related to the commercial, hospitality and leisure activities of the capital.

The new platform brings together in one place all the content related to the 5 areas of local commerce in Madrid: municipal markets and short marketing channels, reference commercial areas, both neighborhood and municipal and those with greater tourist appeal; the fashion and crafts sector, as cornerstones of Madrid's positioning as a fashion capital; the hospitality and gastronomy sector, pillars of Madrid's consolidation as a gastronomic capital; and street vending (street markets, stalls and concessions in public domain).

Furthermore, the program's scope is being expanded to include more content through new dedicated pages that group information by thematic area. Currently, there are five specific pages: one dedicated to municipal markets, another to street markets, one to century-old businesses, another to marketplaces, and a dedicated page for Madrid, the Fashion Capital. Each section includes up-to-date information, a calendar of events of interest, audiovisual material, a list of establishments, and specific routes.

City cultural and events agenda

Todo Está en Madrid now includes a cultural and events calendar for the city, linking events to the area's shops and hotels, and generating limited-time tickets for these events. In this way, the platform naturally recommends shopping alongside the city's cultural and culinary offerings.

This provides specific information about the event, a geolocated map showing its location, businesses near the event venue, and a list of upcoming events in the capital.

In addition to managing and updating content and coordinating the participation of contributors and content creators for the different sections of the portal, communication will be promoted through the social networks of Todo Está en Madrid, on its Instagram, Facebook and YouTube profiles.

E-commerce available at Todo Está en Madrid

From now on, Todo Está en Madrid incorporates a leading e-commerce aggregator, allowing direct linking to the e-commerce portal of each establishment adhering to the program.

It also includes support for Google Wallet and Apple Wallet, including real-time updates of generated cards for promotional coupons generated by establishments and tickets from the events section.

Additionally, QR codes are made available to participating establishments that redirect to the establishment's page on Todo Está en Madrid so that they can include them in shop windows and promotional materials.

From a technical standpoint, the program has integrated the latest technology to be much more efficient and adapt to new online development trends, including migration to Azure (Microsoft's cloud service), greater integration with Google to facilitate data collection, and the development of its own artificial intelligence (AI) service. Also noteworthy is the push notification service for users, which allows for sending direct messages or notifications to their devices to inform them about news, offers, or relevant content.

Everything in Madrid in numbers

The platform is managed by the General Directorate of Commerce and is currently available in 7 languages (Spanish, English, Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Italian).

Currently, Todo Está en Madrid has 15,917 establishments registered on its platform. Approximately 1,025 new establishments joined in 2025.
