Ciudad Lineal is preparing to welcome the month of May with an eclectic cultural program that promises to excite and entertain all citizens. From three-dimensional art exhibitions to theater shows and musical concerts, the agenda is full of events to enjoy with family and friends.

 

PRINCE OF ASTURIAS CULTURAL CENTER

Exhibition "Textures in Evolution" by Marcel Pitelli ( May 3 to 30 ): A fascinating exhibition of three-dimensional art that explores experimentation with different materials, offering works full of textures, colors and emotions that invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a world of creativity and sensitivity.

Caracola Dos Concert ( Friday, May 3 ): An intercultural musical journey through a collage of classical and traditional music, performed by the guitar duo composed of Alberto and Gaspar Payá. An intimate and energetic experience that masterfully fuses different musical styles.

Theatrical Story "5 Ducklings" by Cía . Margarito y Cía. ( Saturday, May 4 ): A fun theatrical adaptation of the popular children's story, which promises to captivate children and adults alike with its charming story and its message of play, music and fun.

Show "Dos Cubañoles al Tiro" ( Friday, May 10 ): A unique proposal that combines the best of the music of the renowned singer-songwriter Jorge Díaz with the "Cuban-style" humor of the prominent Cuban comedian David Álvarez, in an evening full of talent and fun.

Madrid Zarzuela Workshop: "Aquel Madrid Castizo" ( Saturday, May 11 ): An exciting journey through the history and culture of Madrid through zarzuela, which recreates the charm and daily life of the town in times past.

Theatrical Show "En la Punta de la Lengua" by Cía . La Imaginación Teatro ( Friday, May 17 ): A moving story about friendship and memory, set in Spain in the mid-20th century, which invites us to reflect on the importance of sharing our stories and memories.

Premiere of the Work "The Great Storm of the Century" by Cía . Colorín Colorada ( Saturday, May 18 ): An exciting story about friendship and survival in times of climate change, which reminds us of the importance of caring for and protecting our planet.

Yolanda Sanjuan Concert ( Saturday, May 25 ): A night of music and cabaret with the talented singer Yolanda Sanjuan, who will delight us with her elegance and captivating voice in a show full of style and glamour.

Theatrical Performance "Dinner for Two" by Cía . Medea Teatro ( Friday, May 31 ): An exquisite comedy about love and the second chance, which invites us to laugh and be moved by the adventures of two older adults in search of happiness.

 

SAN JUAN BAUTISTA CULTURAL CENTER

"Másq2" Concert ( Friday, May 3 ): Enjoy a musical tour of the most popular songs of yesterday and today with the duo formed by the pianist Salva López and the talented singer Irma Muñoz, known as Másq2.

Four Hands Piano Recital by Pedro Rabasco and Juan Ortiz de Mendívil ( Saturday, May 4 ): Two piano virtuosos come together to offer a special four hands recital. Pedro Rabasco and Juan Ortiz de Mendívil, classmates at the Royal Conservatory of Madrid, have been performing together for more than three decades and promise a unique musical experience.

Exhibition "Pictorial Journey: By Land, Sea and Air" by Jesús María Casado ( May 5 to 29 ): Immerse yourself in a visual journey through the diversity of artistic techniques and themes offered by this exhibition, ranging from serenity from natural landscapes to the vibrant energy of urban portraits.

Theater "The Great Lie" by Cía. Lateadetro ( Saturday, May 18 ): Let yourself be carried away by this hilarious story full of family entanglements that complicate a future wedding more than expected. The dynamic work invites the public to take part in the fun situations that reflect how lying is part of the human condition.

Show "Science and Superheroes: Where Reality and Fiction Come Together" by Cía. Educapop Producciones ( Saturday, May 25 ): Discover the scientific principles behind the superpowers of your favorite superheroes in this entertaining show that combines science and fiction.

 

LA ELIPA CULTURAL CENTER

"Cubanos Son" Concert by Pedro Pablo Rodríguez Mireles and Emilio Ibáñez ( Friday, May 3 ): A vibrant display of Cuba's rich musical tradition, which fuses Caribbean rhythms with contagious melodies in a show full of energy and passion.

"Alma de Boquerón" Concert by a band formed in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona ( Saturday, May 4 ): A musical party suitable for all audiences, which combines rumba with other musical genres in a live show full of joy and fun.

Theatrical play "La Señorita de Trevélez" by Cía . Lectern Theater ( Friday, May 10 ): A tragicomedy that immerses us in the hilarious misadventures of the inhabitants of Trevélez, in a work full of humor and unforgettable characters.

Concert by Daniela Horovitz ( Saturday, May 11 ): A unique show that pays tribute to the iconic women tango singers, performing the classics of the genre with passion and elegance.

Theatrical Play "The Infinite Journey" by Cía . Polenta Canapé (Friday, May 17): A song of rebirth and encounters, which invites us to reflect on the light and shadow of life through live music and emotional songs.

Show "Fina Estampa: Tribute to María Dolores Pradera" ( Saturday, May 18 ): A tribute to the great lady of Spanish song, with an exciting review of her most emblematic songs.

Theatrical Work "Anatomy of Cuore" by Cía . Zarabanda Teatro ( Wednesday, May 22 ): A hilarious comedy that explores the complications of love with humor and classic Italian songs that add a touch of nostalgia and fun.

Concert "Pioneer Women of Cinema" by Jorge Gil Zulueta and Diana Valencia ( Friday, May 24 ): Enjoy a unique experience with a special musical composition performed on piano and violin by Jorge Gil Zulueta and Diana Valencia, respectively. This performance will accompany the screenings of short films by two great pioneers of silent cinema, Alice Guy with "The Irresistible Piano" (1907) and "Falling Leaves" (1912), and Lois Weber with the medium-length film "Shoes" (1916).

Play "The Animal Carnival" by Cía . Light, Micro and Point ( Saturday, May 25 ): Immerse yourself in a fantasy world with this work inspired by the famous musical piece "The Carnival of the Animals" by Camille Saint-Saëns. On a special day of Carnival, the animals of the forest gather to celebrate and dance, but their party is interrupted by the arrival of the feared Lion. However, they will discover that their greatest desire is to simply play and have fun together.

Concert "I remember Miguel de Molina's Copla" by Manuel Segura and Pablo San Nicasio ( Friday, May 31 ): A nostalgic journey through the songs that made Miguel de Molina famous, performed with passion and talent by Manuel Segura and the guitar by Pablo San Nicasio.

Friday, June 3, 7:70 p.m.: Immerse yourself in the charm of Zarzuela Goyesca with the Madrid Zarzuela Workshop . Relive the memories of the endearing Madrid recreated by illustrious writers such as Galdós and Arniches through the perfect recreation of life in that humane and charming town.

Saturday, June 11, 6:60 p.m .: Join the madness of Mi Fiesta Castiza with the Ditirambo Teatro company! Accompany a Galician and a mana in their first experience at the San Isidro festival in Madrid. Discover with them the surprises and adventures of this interactive celebration.

Saturday, June 18, 6:50 p.m.: Enjoy the fun stories of Pili, Poli and the others with Terra Teatro . Meet this peculiar family made up of two brothers, a rat and a cat, who share their passion for stories in a little house in the countryside.

Friday, June 24, 7:60 p.m.: Let yourself be captivated by the magic of Ventanas al Sur with Gaspar Payá and Clara Serrano . Enjoy Clara's voice and Gaspar's guitar on a musical journey through the timbral and harmonic richness of Latin American music.

Saturday, June 25, 6:50 p.m .: Join the exciting adventure of Around the World in 80 Days with La Imaginación Teatro . Join Mr. Fogg and his butler, Passpartout, in their challenge to travel around the world in 80 days, a story full of live music and interaction with objects.
