TAPAPIÉS 2024: FROM OCTOBER 17 TO 27, MUSIC AND GASTRONOMY IN LAVAPIÉS!

The Lavapiés Tapas and Music Festival, Tapapiés, returns this year from Thursday 17th to Sunday 27th October , offering a vibrant experience with 32 outdoor performances over two weekends. The event will feature a varied musical programme including artists such as Jeff Espinoza, Tonky de la Peña, Sacri Delfino and DJ Moderno, among others.

Headlining the bill, Jeff Espinoza, leader of The Gypsy Runners, will be one of the festival's big attractions, accompanied by Jonathan Colombo, master of the pedal steel guitar and leader of the folk rock trio Columbus 3. Tonky de la Peña, considered the father of the blues in Spain, will also perform with his Blue Monkeys, along with Argentine Sacri Delfino, who will fuse contemporary jazz with world music.

The event will feature a total of 18 national and international bands that will explore genres such as blues, country, rock'n roll, jazz and folk. Participants include Southbound, Delta 66, Holler Creek Band, Raúl Perona & Lenna Spritz, El Cafecito and many more, creating a repertoire that reflects the genuine spirit of Americana Music with a Spanish touch.

Tapapiés also promises to liven up the streets with five new batucadas: Batalá Madrid, Los Espontáneos, Aranjuez Jazz Band, Salda Badago and That's Jazz Band, as well as the repeat performer Tacúmbala.

The performances will take place in various locations, including the Ana Diosdado, Arturo Barea, Cascorro and Nelson Mandela squares, as well as on Calvario Street. On the weekends of October 18-20 and 25-27, attendees will be able to enjoy concerts, parades and family shows at midday, afternoon and evening.

The family programme will have a special space in the Plaza de Lavapiés, where four magic, clown and storytelling performances will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:30 to 13:30.
