Second edition of Cultuletras 2023, from June 1 to 4

From June 1 to 4, the second edition of CULTULETRAS will be held, an event that seeks to value the cultural fabric and history of the Barrio de las Letras.
This event, organized by the Association of Merchants of the Barrio de las Letras, has the participation of various institutions (Madrid City Council, Lope de Vega House Museum, Chamber of Madrid, Royal Academy of History, Sociedad Cervantina, Caixaforum, Asoc ciudadana I'm from La Cuesta, Spanish Theater, Amaniel Music Conservatory, etc…). It is worth noting the collaboration of the General Directorate of Commerce of the Madrid City Council and its platforms Todo está en Madrid and Madrid Capital de Moda.
In addition, there will be numerous activities: craft markets, guided tours, fencing exhibitions, exhibitions, workshops, routes with history, concerts, children's and family activities,... All this during 4 days and hand in hand with the Association of merchants of the Barrio de las Letters. Discover the route here!
This festival aims to value the extensive network of cultural establishments and institutions that house the streets of the Barrio de las Letras, configuring one of the cultural engines of the capital, even of Spain.
This year we have a QR on the billboards, where you can find the entire program of events. During the four days that the event lasts there will be activities in shops, art galleries, bookstores, publishers, antique dealers and catering establishments. The latter will host a thematic route, inspired by the celebration of Hemingway's 100th anniversary, a transversal event organized by this association together with Soy de la Cuesta, within the recently established Axis of Letters.
For the first time, the FIRST CULTULETRAS QUICK PAINTING CONTEST will be held, with the collaboration of Corzón Bellas Artes, an associated establishment and leader in its sector. Said contest will be held in the recently renamed Plazuela de las Sinsombrero.
It is worth noting the celebration of a special double edition of the successful Mercado de las Ranas, recently expanded, on Calle Huertas on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4, from 12:00 to 20:00. Other animation activities will be included in it, such as a children's face painting and an exhibition of literary caricatures.
More than 80 activities await residents and visitors during these 4 days, which will serve to turn our streets into a true Cultural Festival of the Barrio de las Letras.
