SAN SEBASTIAN DE LOS REYES CELEBRATES A NEW EDITION OF THE “WHITE BULL RUNNINGS”

The municipality of San Sebastián de los Reyes celebrates the second edition of its “ Encierros Blancos ” on January 18 and 19, at 11:00 a.m., on the occasion of the feast day of the city's patron saint, San Sebastián Mártir .

The first bull run will be held by bulls from the Hermanos García Jiménez ranch on January 18, while the bulls from Ribera de Campocerrado will take their turn on January 19. As a novelty, this year there will be six bulls taking part in these races that are 820 metres long and last an average of two minutes and fifteen seconds .

The festivities will officially begin on January 17 with the launch of a rocket from the balcony of the Town Hall after the official proclamation by the writer and singer-songwriter Pedro María Rivera . This year, the San Sebastián bull runs celebrate 500 years of tradition, passion and emotion, a unique legacy and a hallmark of the municipality.

The “ Encierros Blancos ” will bring together thousands of runners from all over the country and visitors from all over the world. In addition, the races will be broadcast live on Antena 3.
