“Present”: a clown show to reflect on our world
2026/03/16
The 21 DISTRITOS cultural program brings theater to Madrid's neighborhoods with the clown show "Presente," directed by Mireia Miracle. The performance will take place on March 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Valdebernardo Cultural Center (Vicálvaro) and on April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Alfredo Kraus Cultural Center (Fuencarral-El Pardo). Admission is free and open until capacity is reached.
“Present” tells the story of a young clown girl who lives on a plastic island and transforms her reality after finding a mysterious package that changes her perspective on the world. With humor and the visual language of clowning, it invites us to reflect on our present, the future, and our relationship with the environment.
The play is recommended for ages 3 and up and is part of the project "En los Márgenes: Festival Teatro a Pie de Barrio" (On the Margins: Neighborhood Theatre Festival) , which brings theatre to different districts with accessible, participatory and gender-sensitive proposals, promoting cultural participation and citizen engagement.
