AWARDS FOR ACADEMIC AND RESEARCH WORKS ON HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEMS IN THE CITY OF MADRID 2024
The Madrid City Council publishes in the BOCM No. 209 and in the BOAM No. 9707 , both dated September 2, 2024, the fourth edition of the Award "Academic and Research Works on Healthy and Sustainable Food Systems in the city of Madrid 2024"
The purpose of the call is to award the best doctoral theses, final degree projects and final master's projects whose object of research is the enhancement of municipal markets as benchmarks for sustainable production and consumption models: the purchase of food products linked to quality, seasonality, traceability and the Mediterranean diet, healthy and sustainable gastronomic offerings, food governance, food culture, the right to food, sustainable food production and processing, distribution and supply and other subjects included in the Madrid Healthy and Sustainable Food Strategy.
These awards are intended to reward the best doctoral theses, bachelor's theses and master's theses whose research object has a direct relationship with the aforementioned topics.
Those who submit their doctoral theses, final degree projects or master's projects on the subjects described in the object and purpose of the call related to the Healthy and Sustainable Food Strategy of Madrid, completed, read and graded, before the deadline for submitting applications (31/10/2024), may apply for the call.
The submitted works may not be older than 4 years, in the case of Doctoral Theses, and 3 years, in the case of Final Degree or Master's Theses, from the date of publication of their grade. Works that have been submitted to previous calls for these awards are also excluded.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
From 09/03/2024 to 10/31/2024.
AWARDS:
The following prizes will be awarded:
- Doctoral theses: a first prize of 4,500 euros and a second prize of 3,500 euros.
- Master's and Degree Final Projects: A first prize of 3,000 euros and two second prizes of 2,000 euros.
