Poetry and violin live: “Poetry from the soul” comes to Los Rosales

Poetry from the Soul is a poetry recital with live music that proposes an encounter between word and sound through a selection of texts performed by actress María Pastor, accompanied by Carlos Wernicke (guitar) and David Merlín (violin). The format is designed to allow the audience to listen to and explore verses by renowned poets through a simple staging focused on recitation and musical dialogue.

Throughout the recital, poetry and music are seamlessly interwoven: in addition to the recitations, the performance incorporates moments that recall poems popularized as songs and includes anecdotes related to the selected authors. It is presented as a journey through emotions, focusing on listening and how the instrumental accompaniment underscores the meaning and rhythm of the texts.

The event will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Santa Petronila Sociocultural Center (Los Rosales, Villaverde), located at Calle María Martínez Oviol, 12 (28021, Madrid). The performance will last approximately 70 minutes and is recommended for ages 12 and up. Admission is free and open to the public until capacity is reached. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
