NIKE. Design in motion: the major exhibition on the history of the brand arrives in Madrid
2026/03/11
TeamLabs Madrid is hosting the exhibition NIKE. Design in Motion until April 5, 2026. This exhibition traces the history of one of the world's most influential sports brands through its legacy in design, innovation, and culture. Located at Plaza de San Martín, 1, the exhibition comes to Madrid after its run at the Vitra Design Museum.
The exhibition brings together hundreds of pieces, including archival items, prototypes, sketches, and iconic models, to showcase how Nike has transformed the relationship between sport, technology, and aesthetics over six decades. Among the exhibited material are historical designs, legendary sneakers, and pieces associated with sports giants like Rafa Nadal and Pau Gasol.
The exhibition also offers a journey through some of the brand's most recognizable milestones, from its early experiments in the 1960s to the development of a visual identity that has transcended the runway to become ingrained in contemporary fashion and culture. It's an opportunity to discover how design can also tell the story of the movement.
