Flamenco, like Christmas , is synonymous with celebration. Proof of this is the recurrence of zambombas, flamenco festivals and other types of flamenco celebrations in December. Madrid en Vivo , through its project dedicated to flamenco, FLAMENCO CAPITAL , collects the best flamenco programming from its tablaos and venues, and brings them together in the NAVIDADES FLAMENCO CAPITAL cycle. This cycle will take place between Sunday, December 17 and Sunday, December 31 in nine tablaos and halls in Madrid, and will concentrate a total of 14 performances of all kinds of flamenco: shows, concerts, zambombas, parties, flamenco-jazz, singing, guitar, dance; established artists and artists in the process of consecration ; and, above all, artistic quality in abundance.

CHRISTMAS FLAMENCO CAPITAL opens its program on Sunday the 17th with a Christmas classic: the zambombas. A premiere that is double, since in the case of the Tablao de la Villa , it is their first Zambomba Flamenca , and they will accompany it in the best way with Jerez cabbage and an unquestionable cast. The Madrid Flamenco Theater does not lack experience when it comes to zambombas, which they will repeat, also on the 17th, with the Christmas Zambomba by the great Enrique Torres , a guaranteed success, which will feature up to ten artists on stage, with singing, guitar, piano and percussions. On Tuesday the 19th , the leading role is taken at the Tablao 1911 by the award-winning dancer Alfonso Losa , winner of the El desplante prize at the Internacional de las Minas competition and, recently, Critics' Prize at the Jerez Festival.

On Thursday , December 21, CHRISTMAS FLAMENCO CAPITAL will especially feature concerts. The great Niño Josele will star in one of Círculo Flamenco de Madrid's concerts at the Teatro Flamenco Madrid , presenting his excellent latest album, Galaxias , his particular and ingenious intersection between flamenco and jazz. At that same intersection is also located the music of guitarist Luis Gallo who will be on the same day the 21st in El Despertar in trio format. Thursday's day will close with a brand new project that also amalgamates jazz accents and flamenco accents, and adds a renewed love for traditional Spanish song: Alex Conde and Los Indultados en Villanos . In the Villanos room itself, on Friday the 22nd , the sought-after guitarist Víctor Iniesta will polish off the album with which he will uncork his solo career – Disco de mi Vida – after founding elbicho and accompanying artists of the caliber of Manolo García, Tomasito or Soleá Morente . They will also be very well accompanied on Friday at the Café Berlin with La Zambomba del Berlin , an unprecedented show that brings together some of the most talented young flamenco artists on the current scene.

Preluding Christmas Eve, on Saturday the 23rd at the Teatro Tablao Flamenco Torero they have prepared La Fiesta Flamenca , the first immersive flamenco experience in Madrid. And what better than to rest from the copious meals and celebrate Christmas in a special way, attending on Monday the 25th the renowned Bullfighter flamenco show, Essential Flamenco , directed by Juan El Mistela . For Wednesday the 27th , Cardamomo have prepared a special performance with Christmas carols at Caño Roto Suena en Navidad . The clicking of Saga Viva – El Yiyo, El Tete and El Chino , three dance figures, will also sound strong and with a lot of duende, on Friday the 29th at the Café Berlin . On Saturday the 30th , we will enjoy the singer Carmen Carmona at the Rincón del Arte Nuevo . And we will say goodbye to the CHRISTMAS FLAMENCO CAPITAL cycle by saying goodbye to the year at the Tablao de la Villa on Sunday the 31st , with the acclaimed dancer Carlos Velázquez who will offer a New Year's Eve to remember.
