WOMEN LIVE 2025: A MONTH OF MUSIC IN MADRID WITH FEMALE TALENT AS THE PROTAGONIST

Madrid is preparing to host the sixth edition of Mujeres en Vivo, a series of concerts that will put national and international female artists at the centre of the stage. Between 6 and 30 March, more than 60 performances will fill 30 flamenco venues and tablaos in the city with music, offering a varied programme with styles for all tastes.

A festival that promotes musical parity

Organized by Madrid en Vivo, with the collaboration of the Community of Madrid and the General Directorate of Women, Mujeres en Vivo seeks to make visible the impact of women in music and guarantee their presence in the live concert circuit. With a diverse and vibrant program , this cycle has become a reference within the cultural panorama of Madrid.

Opening of the festival and first concerts

The festival will kick off on Thursday 6 March with concerts by Sin Salida and Fango Club at Café La Palma. During the first weekend, attendees will be able to enjoy the soul of The Soulers at Tempo Audiophile Club, the metal of Kloyster and Petricor on Friday 7 at El Perro de la Parte de Atrás del Coche, and the powerful sound of Blindness Allowed on Saturday 8 at Barracudas. For lovers of alternative proposals, Pinpilinpussies will perform at Maravillas, while Nathalie Braux Quartet will present Wanderings at El Despertar.

Second week: more music and microtheater

On Wednesday, March 12, Rock'n'Heels will take the stage at Honky Tonk, and on Thursday, March 13, the program will include the microtheater performance La Despedida at Microteatro, as well as concerts by Marta Gómez at Café Berlín, Gala Nell at Moby Dick, and María Zerpa and Los Ocelotes at El Intruso.

On Friday 14th, Brava will fill El Sótano with energy, and on Saturday 15th, the Italian-accented ska of Le Birrette and Steady Rockers will get Gruta 77 dancing. Also on that day, the dancer Macarena Ramírez will star in Emociones at Teatro Flamenco Madrid.

Last week: flamenco, R&B and poetry

Among the latest notable dates, on Wednesday 19th, Bendita Calamidad will perform at Siroco. On Thursday 20th, Carly Gibert will bring her fusion of genres to Clamores, while Paula Caveira will perform at Cadavra. On Friday 21st, live poetry will have its space with Ellas Son Poesía at Fulanita de Tal, and the electrifying copla of Rezelo and Jiménez with Jota will resonate at Vesta.

To close the cycle, on March 28, Amynata Sow, Beatriz Villar, Nía Zalén and Paula Mori will offer a special night of R&B in Morocco, and finally, on March 30, Idoia will close the festival with her performance at Búho Real.
