Matadero Madrid Ice Rink: Fun and Art in a Unique Space

The Matadero Madrid is once again one of the epicentres of the Christmas activities organised by the City Council. This 600 m² rink offers the possibility of practising free skating, as well as enjoying free exhibitions of individual, pair and synchronised figure skating, organised by the Madrid Winter Sports Federation.

In addition to skating, Matadero Madrid offers a host of activities for the whole family:

Ice Rink in the Crystal Gallery of the Cibeles Palace: Christmas Elegance

The iconic Cibeles Palace once again hosts its 400 m² ice rink in the Galería de Cristal, a unique setting in the heart of Madrid. Since 2012, this rink has been a favourite among locals and visitors alike, thanks to its magical atmosphere and spectacular location.

  • Dates: From December 14 to January 5.
  • Area: 400 m².

Plaza de España Ice Rink (La Navideña): An Open-Air Classic

This Christmas, Plaza de España is transformed into a space full of activities thanks to La Navideña, an event that includes a 450 m² outdoor natural ice rink, a craft fair and a wide range of food.

This project, organised by Super 8 Entertainment together with major brands such as SANTALUCÍA and Endesa, is celebrating its fourth edition and has established itself as one of the most eagerly awaited Christmas attractions in the city.

Colón Ice Rink Javier Fernández: Sport with a Cause

The Plaza de Colón is once again home to an 800 m² ice rink, the project of Olympic skater and world champion Javier Fernández. As well as being a place to enjoy sport, this rink has a charitable purpose, as part of the proceeds will go to Down España.

The experience is completed with a Christmas market, a nativity scene and a merry-go-round, making it an ideal space to enjoy with the little ones.

  • Extras: Possibility of renting teddy bears for children, and sale of gloves on site.

Ice Rink at Rosewood Villa Magna: Gourmet Christmas and Skating

The Rosewood Villa Magna hotel is celebrating Christmas with an exclusive experience that includes a skating rink in its gardens. Visitors can enjoy hot chocolate with churros with the purchase of admission, or for free when visiting one of the hotel's restaurants.

In addition, the space will feature special activities such as snacks with Santa Claus, the Alpine Chalet, and the Aprés Skate Lounge, offering a proposal that combines gastronomy and Christmas spirit.

Madrid On Ice at Riyadh Air Metropolitano: Europe's Largest Ice Rink

This Christmas, the Riyadh Air Metropolitan Stadium will host one of the largest ice rinks in Europe, with more than 4,760 m² and capacity for 1,500 skaters simultaneously.
