MADRID BECOMES THE EPICENTER OF CREATIVITY AND KNOWLEDGE WITH THE "WEEK OF IDEAS"
2024/11/08

The Spanish capital is preparing to host the second edition of the Week of Ideas , an event dedicated to fostering creativity and the development of valuable and sustainable ideas. Organised by the Knowledge Management Foundation in collaboration with the Community of Madrid , this multidisciplinary event will take place from 11 to 24 November , with a wide programme of activities for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

The event seeks to explore and foster creative talent with the motto “Good ideas are not those that change the world, but those that improve it” . This premise will inspire participants to focus their skills and knowledge on proposals that generate a positive impact on their environment. From workshops and learning days to exhibitions and outdoor activities, the Week of Ideas is presented as a great opportunity for Madrid residents to actively get involved in enriching and transformative initiatives.

Among the most notable activities of this edition are the children's literary project , which will encourage eleven-year-olds to write their own books, and a Nordic walk that will turn Madrid's bookshops into symbolic destinations, celebrating the value of reading. Likewise, a solidarity chain of ideas will unite participants in a common cause: helping sick people and abandoned animals.

Art will also play a leading role in this Week of Ideas. On November 19 and 20 , the Espacio Ronda will host a unique exhibition that will transform phrases into paintings and offer a visual interpretation of fascinating aspects of everyday life through verses and creative works. In addition, on the 23rd , the city will witness the exhibition of a young 14-year-old Venezuelan artist who, with talent and vision, has opened his own gallery in his country and who comes to Madrid to present sculptures that have captured international attention.

Reading and Madrid's cultural heritage will be other central themes of the Week, thanks to initiatives such as "Walking among verses" , which will promote knowledge and appreciation of the city's historical, artistic and monumental legacy. On the other hand, sustainability will also have a prominent place with the launch of innovative environmental initiatives in collaboration with the Reforesta Association , aimed at the conservation and protection of nature.

The Week of Ideas not only seeks cultural enjoyment, but also promotes social and environmental commitment, giving citizens, organizations and companies in Madrid the opportunity to participate in a platform that promotes innovation and solidarity for the benefit of the community.
