MADRID LAUNCHES AID TO THE INDUSTRIAL SECTOR FOR 2025 WITH AN ALLOCATION OF 2.85 MILLION EUROS

Madrid City Council has announced the publication of the terms and conditions for the call for aid for the Madrid industrial sector for the year 2025. These grants, worth a total of 2.85 million euros , seek to promote, boost and reactivate industry in the city, as well as related services.

The terms of the call for proposals will be published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette of the Madrid City Council and in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid. Interested parties may submit their applications through the municipal electronic office between 1 and 28 February 2025, both inclusive. The eligible period will run from 1 May 2024 to 30 April 2025.

Increase in aid by 2025

This year, the budget allocated to these subsidies has increased by 14% compared to 2024. The aim is to strengthen the industrial economic fabric of the capital through investments in digitalisation, sustainable production and machinery for productive improvement and the manufacture of prototypes. Micro-enterprises will be able to benefit from subsidies of up to 80% of the total of their investment project.

Help lines and amounts

The City Council has specified that industrial or service-based SMEs located in Madrid may benefit from one of the four lines of aid established, provided that they are included in the sections of the National Classification of Economic Activities (CNAE) of 2009 included in the call:

  • Digitalisation: aimed at the implementation and development of Electronic, Information and Communications Technologies (EIT). The maximum grant will be 10,000 euros per beneficiary.
  • Sustainable production: aimed at reducing final energy consumption and CO2 emissions, with a limit of 20,000 euros per beneficiary.
  • Productive improvement in Industry 4.0: focused on improving productivity and efficiency through production machinery, with a maximum grant of 50,000 euros.
  • R&D prototypes: new line to finance the manufacture of prototypes, with a maximum grant of 40,000 euros per beneficiary.

Companies will be able to present projects in all four areas simultaneously, with the possibility of obtaining a maximum grant of 120,000 euros.

Review of previous aid

From 2019 to 2024, the City Council has granted aid for a total amount of 10,533,332 euros, benefiting 327 industrial companies in the capital. With the increase in funds for 2025, it is expected to continue promoting the competitiveness and sustainability of the Madrid industrial sector.
