MADRID ES MODA INAUGURATES ITS NEW EDITION WITH A GRAND FASHION SHOW IN PLAZA DE LA VILLA
2025/02/03
From 13 to 18 February , the Spanish capital will become the epicentre of designer fashion with the arrival of a new edition of Madrid es Moda. This event, which seeks to bring Spanish fashion closer to the public through fashion shows, presentations and exhibitions, will begin with a spectacular fashion show in the Plaza de la Villa , consolidating its commitment to Madrid's culture and tradition.
The inaugural fashion show will take place on Thursday 13 February at 12:30 pm in this emblematic enclave of medieval Madrid. More than 25 designers and 50 models will be the stars of a unique catwalk that will pay tribute to the city's origins, evoking the figure of the violeteras and highlighting traditional craftsmanship with espadrilles, hats and crochet pieces made in historic shops in the centre of Madrid.
For six days, Madrid es Moda will transform the city into a living catwalk with the participation of 39 designers and brands , including Acromatyx, Adlib Ibiza, Devota & Lomba, Dolores Promesas, Dominnico, Eduardo Navarrete, García Madrid, Maison Mesa and Teresa Helbig. Their unpublished, ongoing and capsule collections will be exhibited in iconic spaces such as art galleries, ateliers, shops and hotels, bringing designer fashion to a wider audience.
In addition, this edition incorporates Madrid es Moda HUB , a parallel space with pop-ups , open days, digital launches and talks. This initiative seeks to connect designers, professionals and amateurs, offering immersive experiences focused on design and creativity.
Over the years, Madrid es Moda has turned the city's most iconic corners into stages for its programming. From the Puerta de Alcalá to the Plaza de Colón, passing through the Paseo del Prado and the Anthropological Museum, this event has managed to position Madrid as an international benchmark for designer fashion.
Promoted by the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME) and supported by the Madrid City Council through Madrid Capital de Moda, Madrid es Moda is a showcase for slow fashion and a model of innovation in the presentation and consumption of fashion. Its impact on the industry has been recognised with the Award for the Promotion and Diffusion of Spanish Fashion, awarded at the Spanish Fashion Academy Awards, highlighting its work in revitalising the sector.
