MADRID BEAUTY FESTIVAL: first edition
2023/06/09

On Saturday June 10, the Plaza de Colón in Madrid hosts the 1st edition of the MADRID BEAUTY FESTIVAL, an urban gathering dedicated to celebrating beauty as a form of expression and self-affirmation, and in which both local merchants, professionals, industry agents , and prescribers such as Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Architectural Digest and Condé Nast Traveler, will show the public how they approach an open, diverse and inclusive look at beauty from different fields.

Plaza de Colón in Madrid will be the setting for a tour of experiences at street level, open to the public and with free access, where you can try new products or treatments, attend live tutorials, and participate in meetings that will reflect on the different meanings of the beauty.

MADRID BEAUTY FESTIVAL is promoted by Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Architectural Digest and Condé Nast Traveler , and the General Directorate of Commerce and Hospitality of the Madrid City Council through the Todo Está en Madrid program

The cosmetics industry represented a market of 9,250 million euros in Spain in 2022, and had a growth of +11.3% in 2022, according to the National Association of Perfumery and Cosmetics Stampa. Added to the economic importance of the sector are the social and cultural changes that have occurred due to the irruption of new paradigms such as diversity (such as the body-positive movement), sustainability (such as rechargeable products), innovation (with the specialized ingredients) and entertainment (such as new languages derived from platforms like Tik Tok).

Many of these aspects will be discussed in a series of talks led by the publishing brands of Condé Nast Spain. Its prescribing power is backed by a close connection with the industry and a continuous conversation with an audience that is especially interested in beauty issues, 83% of whom prefer to pay a little more for quality products , especially value innovation and being the first in trying a new product (1.4 points above the average), and they are also reference prescribers among their relatives (1.3 above the average).

The talks will be freely accessible until full capacity is reached, and each one will be associated with different ways of approaching beauty.
